At 5 years old, my son was terrified of the dentist (he had 2 or 3 visits with a family dentist's office). We were referred to Children's Dentistry of Apex and, though it was an uphill battle at the start, he now goes to the dentist without worry or complaint every time. I can't recommend this office highly enough to anyone with kids. Avoid the anxiety all together and start with a pediatric dentist.
Dr. Venezie is so great with my toddler. I don't know many other people who could get a two year old to sit still enough to get their teeth fully cleaned.
The dentist yelled at my son. He has never shed a tear at the dentist until today and he was crying when we left. The dentist was getting mad at him for not opening his mouth and then spitting out the stuff.... Umm he is a child how do you expect him to act. Now my son is scared of the dentist thanks to him.
I have been bringing my kids to Dr. Venezie for about a year and a half now. Each visit has gone smoothly and my kids really enjoy Dr Venezie’s humor. Yesterday my daughter (8) had an abscessed tooth that needed attention. The office was closed but Dr Venezie met us there to evaluate and extract the tooth. She was nervous but he got right down on her level and explained to her that the tooth was sick and he didn’t want it to make her sick. He connected with her, gave her the reassurance she needed, and the process couldn’t have gone more smoothly. I am very grateful for the wonderful care and time that was taken to care for my little girl. Thank you!!!
The staff is very friendly, knowledgable and patient. I would highly recommend Dr. Venezie and his staff.
